Teaching
The Horse Medicine Way is the home of Taking Care of Training — a philosophy that places the horse’s wellbeing, voice and experience at the heart of everything we do.
Rather than being method-led, this approach is horse-led. It honours each horse as an individual and allows the path of training, connection and understanding to unfold through listening, observation and feel. It is about meeting the horse where they are, rather than trying to fit them into a fixed system.
Taking Care of Training is rooted in connection, softness and trust. It recognises that true partnership with horses grows not only through technique, but through presence, compassion and a willingness to learn from the horse.
The Horse Medicine Way brings together grounded horsemanship with deeper relational and holistic awareness. At times this may also include healing practices — for horse, human, or both — recognising that what shows up in training is often connected to the emotional, physical or energetic wellbeing of the partnership.
Here, training is not something we do, but a space where horse and human are given the time, care and understanding to evolve into a masterpiece together.
I teach from my base in Ditchling, Mid Sussex, but will travel locally for loading issues or those with no access to transport. I design each session to suit the horse & rider. Sessions may include healing at your requested or suggestions. ( always optional)
